Federal Jury Indicts NY Attorney General on Mortgage Fraud Charges

The state attorney general claimed a property as her second home, but allowed a relative to live there.

A federal grand jury recently indicted New York Attorney General Letitia James on charges of bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution. This indictment comes after the Department of Justice (DOJ) filed these charges against the state AG for falsely claiming that an additional property she purchased would be used as her primary residence to receive better mortgage terms.

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Pulte referred the fraud allegations to the Justice Department earlier this year. While James describes the indictment as a “perversion“ of justice, she ran for her current office on the pledge to prosecute President Donald Trump.

News outlets have reported that AG James housed her grand-niece, who was fled probation in North Carolina, for three years in her Norfolk, Virginia, second home.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Director Pulte to be discerning as he heads the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
  • For Attorney General Pamela Bondi as she oversees the Department of Justice.
  • For NY Attorney General James to be transparent and honest in her response to the fraud case.
